WHO I AM AND WHAT I DO
After I graduated in Haarlem I moved to Amsterdam. Thereafter I went for a year to the beautiful city of light, Paris and worked as a fille au paire. As a young girl I adored the French language and the way of life.
During my youth my parents took me to many museums and exhibitions and I guess that is how my interest in art began. Later I took art classes to broaden my knowledge and became a hat designer.
After my career as a hat designer, I wanted to use my language skills and combine that with my interest in art and that’s how I became a tour guide!
WHO IS KATJA AS A GUIDE
I would like to show you the beauty of my city and explain more about its rich history.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge of Amsterdam, from the grandeur of the Rijksmuseum to the warm atmosphere of a typical Amsterdam café.
With a sense of humour and in a relaxed atmosphere I will guide you through this beautiful city. Depending on your choice, I can make a tailor made program based on your personal preferences or I can put together a tour myself.
Having a German mother and having lived and worked in France means it’s no problem for me to conduct the tours in Dutch, German, French and of course in English.
